	Tulbagh, the Secluded Valley is tucked between mountain ranges. The tulbagh area was damaged in the 1969 earthquake. A massive effort was made by the community to save many old buildings and restored to their old world splendour. There are 5 museums in Tulbagh and accommodation to suit a wide range of tastes, good restaurants and many arts & crafts facilities. Activities include mountain bike trails, hiking trails, walks, horseriding, fishing, cellar tours, birding, 4×4 guided tours etc.
