DHT: Listen to your Heart

This Belgian dance-pop duo made history with this, their debut album, by being the first Belgian duo to reach the Top 5 in the US. The album overall has a pretty mainstream pop format but great vocals from the lead singer makes this one distinctly different. Personally not really my type of sound but I can see why this album appeals to the masses. It has a kind of early 90’s feel to it, reminding of the techno pop era with its electric sounds The album includes two cover versions of the Roxette hit ‘Listen to Your Heart’ which also serves as the title of the album. Fresh global-style dance tunes and heartfelt ballads complete the album.

Definitely an album that will appeal more to the youngsters of today, but the fresh approach towards their music makes this album an enthusiastic and surprise collection of dance-pop tunes.
