This is the latest release from the nine time Grammy-Award winning Sony Recording artists. With this album, one of the most anticipated albums in recent years, the Dixie Chicks are putting themselves out there like never before. Not only are they big for a country band, they are multiplatinum in North America, Europe and Australia. Each of the songs on the album, are co-written by the Chicks themselves and with this album establishes them as the biggest-selling female band in history, both as writers and performers. They were inspired by classic artists like the Eagles, Tom Petty and the Mamas and the Papas which gives Taking the Long Way a Southern Californian vibe.
