The World Goes Round

Head down to Milnerton Playhouse for their next production of “The World Goes ‘Round” and enjoy a fast paced musical revue that will have you rocking. From 19 September to 04 October 2014, song and dance is celebrated with the Songs of Kander & Ebb – a show s conceived by Scott Ellis, Susan Stroman & David Thompson.
Directed by award winning Sheila McCormick, prepare for an evening of fun and laughter with the highly talented and seasoned cast of Fiona Tanner, Michele Galloway, Melissa Sanderson, Shaun Klaasen and Christian Marais. These musical theatre performers are adroit in handling the quick mood and costume changes with expertise and the difficult harmonies in the show under the expert musical direction of Jeremy Quickfall- well known for his many performances of ‘A Handful of Keys” amongst popular shows. Klaasen & Tanner show their mettle with their clever choreography, all adding up to a show well worth seeing.
With a live five piece band of stage led by Jeremy Quickfall on keyboard Jean McKenzie (synthesizer), Gareth Harvey (wind), Basil Heald (Bass) and Schalk Wasserman (Drums) the evening promises to satisfy all musical tastes.
Expect an eclectic collection of love songs, torch songs and acerbically witty comic numbers, some well-known and some not so well-known, from some fourteen Broadway shows such as New York, New York, Chicago, Cabaret, The Rink, Funny Lady, The Act and Kiss of the Spider Woman.
Director Sheila McCormick produced a highly successful production of this show in 2005 so take this opportunity of enjoying this with a new modern twist!
