John Hughes: Wild Ocean

Café del Mar meets Enya, with perhaps a few bagpipes thrown into the mix. That is possibly the best way to describe Wild Ocean, John Hughes (manager of The Corrs) latest production. The album features some well-known groups such as Tara Blaze, The Chieftains, and The Corrs, and truly achieves an eclectic sound that manages to find synthesis between modern and traditional forms of music.

As can be expected, Wild Ocean has a truly Irish sound whereby one can almost smell the peat, picture some rolling hills, and we wont mention the potatoes. The album makes for some easy listening and is ideal relaxation music. So next time you feel stressed out, just sit back, kick off the clogs and stick Wild Ocean into your music maker.
