Louder Now, Taking back Sunday, feat ‘makedamnsure’

This album is pure Sunday morning wake up…….. in London and on XFM…… complete with magnificent vocal rendition and rocking base guitar…city grunge at it’s best. The charging start of ‘Whats it like to be a ghost’ will have you jumping up and out in no time and those magnificent vocal breaks will give you time to sip your coffee, reflect and breathe in the last of the weekend. The rest of this outstanding album follows this intro beautifully with the ebb and flow of true artistry. ‘Liar’ has flavours of Punk long forgotten and is a fantastically energetic and poetic track whilst the underlying melancholy of ‘Liar’ is a wonderful contrast to the rocking base guitar. But its ‘My Blue Heaven’ that I believe to be the sleeper hit on this fantastic album ….oh and ‘Divine Intervention’ and and and…… If you have a heart this is definitely one for your rock collection.
