Breakfast Included jazzes up Cape Winemakers Guild Auction Showcase

Experience rare and exceptional wines accompanied by the upbeat sounds of top Cape Town jazz ensemble, Breakfast Included, at the Nedbank Cape Winemakers Guild Auction Showcase on Thursday, 20 August at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). The Showcase offers wine lovers a wonderful opportunity to taste exceptional wines in an informal tasting and rub shoulders with some of the country’s finest winemakers who are members of the Guild.
The informal tasting includes wines that have been made exclusively by members of the Guild to go under the hammer at the 2009 Nedbank Cape Winemakers Guild Auction to be held at Spier on 3 October as well as other flagship wines. Delicious Oysters, wraps, and sushi platters will be on sale at the Showcase.
In addition to the opportunity to taste the exceptional auction wines, the Showcase offers wine lovers the rare opportunity to bid for sought-after, individually signed bottles of wines from previous Guild Auctions at the Silent Auction in aid of the Nedbank Cape Winemakers Guild Development Trust. Made exclusively for the Guild Auction, these Silent Auction wines are extremely rare and have become true collector’s items. All proceeds of the Silent Auction go towards the Guild’s Development Trust in support of education, training and empowerment of young people from previously disadvantaged wine farming communities.
The Cape Town Showcase at the CTICC starts at 18h00 – 21h00 on Thursday, 20 August. The Johannesburg Showcase takes place on 27 August at The Atrium in Sandton.
