Rafiki's

Rafiki’s

Some info:
This is a super chill place with lots to do. Rafiki’s (Swahili for friend) was originally a backpacker’s and still maintains a lot of that funky vibe. Winter nights in front of the fire place! It’s a Cape Town institution where you’ll see people on different missions enjoying a drink on the balcony, listening to one of the many live acts or just having a meal. The best part is that everyone fits in, whether you’re dressed up for dinner or just drinking with buddies fresh from the beach. Keep centrally-located Rafiki’s in mind for the start, end or middle of any trip out of the house. Their pizzas are renowned and there’s something for everyone on the extensive menu.
Soccer fans are in heaven when they come to watch games at Rafiki’s: there are no fewer than six big-screen TVs positioned throughout Rafiki’s, and they show all the major games. The atmosphere is always festive, and apart from actually being at the game, this is the best way to watch the game! This will be a great spot to watch 2010 World Cup games in Cape Town .
A little heads up on what to expect at Rafikis during June & July this year. Its right round the Flippin’ corner! We will be airing all the games of course on all the6 big screens. Each section of Rafikis is equipped with sound and screen, so even when there are 2 games on at the same time we can accommodate. Loyalty Cards are available  (be sure to ask waiters or management for a registration form) to all the friends of Rafikis, which will entitle you to build points and in return get discounts, prizes & giveaways. Keep your eyes on this site for more details of what to expect at Rafikis. Building new bathrooms for the ladies and gents (separately) is sure to arrive 1 hour before matches, and 2hours closer to semis and finals. Not selling food during W.C. ALL YOU CAN EAT: (selected menu), orders may be taken when it’s quiet either way food will come out in waves when it’s full. Our 5 best pizza, and finger food so plate’s won’t be necessary. All games Aired on six (6) screens, and we can play 2 games simultaneously. No cocktails so no Thursday Special. Open from 11am – 2am. 350 people +/- Cover charge for the ALL YOU CAN EAT, R100.00 for locals (with Locals / Loyalty Cards) which in turn is a card you build points on and can redeem them 7days after purchases, as well as awarded large tabs during the month of your birthday, and bigger prizes like concert tickets, shark cage diving, skydiving, etc. for those that are very local R150.00 non card holders R200.00 at the door.
