THE BUNGALOW

Cape Town’s hottest new restaurant opened with a bang on the 23rd December. Respected restaurateur Paul Kovensky’s new venture follows the success of his other popular restaurants Pepenero, The Kove, Paranga and Zenzero.

The Bungalow offers a chic, laid-back setting as the careful attention to design detail echoes an urbane, but casual sophistication. The interior is a combination of materials and fixtures from honey coloured marble and reclaimed wood to ornate mirrors and collections of small chandeliers. The patio and deck offers an unobstructed seaside dining experience with a 360 degree view which includes the Clifton ocean shore and the 12 Apostles and Lion’s Head. Mediterranean colours play off of a white-washed beach cabin motif, enhanced by a cool splash pool, creating the casual beach house ambience with suave appeal.

Open from 12:00 – 02:00 daily, the contemporary style menu offers an extensive range of options from light bistro lunches to designer sushi and complete dinners that can be enjoyed with a selection of signature cocktails. Incorporating the rustic flavours of the Mediterranean, the food is beautifully plated and made fresh from locally sourced ingredients.
