Some info:
Ireland’s biggest export besides Guinness and U2, releases their new album a year after their last offering and this time they go back to their roots with the album HOME. This album is held particularly close to their hearts as it contains songs from their late mother’s songbook. The band had an urge to bring new interpretations to traditional Irish songs and with the help of producer Mitchell Froom, the band set out to create an eclectic mixture of songs and instrumental airs. There is less pop here, more of sharpness, more spontaneity. The album also contains songs sung in Gaelic such as Buachhaill on Eirne and Brid Og Ni Mhaille. With this, their fifth album, they try a different path and for that they should be congratulated.
