Two Oceans Aquarium

Some info: Here Fishy
The Two Oceans Aquarium, situated on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa, opened its doors in 1995.

This state of the art tourist attraction and education facility offers its visitors the opportunity to experience marine life beyond the African waves. Since its opening, more than 3 million visitors, including 850 000 children, have come face to face with the great diversity of marine creatures. Over 3000 living organisms, including fishes, invertebrates, mammals, reptiles, birds and plants can be seen in this dynamic facility.

From the fishes and plants which brave the cold waters of the Atlantic, to giant eels and Knysna seahorses, to the giant spider crabs from Japan and the African penguins in the Sappi River Meander, the Aquarium is a dynamic place where the animals continually surprise, entertain, astound and teach visitors about the mysteries of their kind.

The Aquarium offers unique opportunities for visitors to discover the mysteries of the underwater world – without getting wet! See the penguins, seals, turtles, rays and sharks being hand fed by Aquarium staff. For the more adventurous (qualified divers only), dive with the ragged-tooth sharks in the I&J Predator Exhibit or experience a moment in the history of diving with the copper helmet dive. Advanced qualified divers can hand-feed the multitude of fishes in the Kelp Forest and experience the thrill of diving in a living kelp forest.

The Aquarium is a dramatic backdrop against which to host a function or conference with a difference. The magnificence and beauty of the animals will captivate and enthral guests.

The Aquarium offers young and old the opportunity to come face to face with the creatures which inhabit the wonderful oceans surrounding our fascinating coastline. It is a place of wonder and excitement and your visit is guaranteed to educate and entertain you and will definitely not soon be forgotten.
