Wellington Museum features not only various African Cultures but also of countries as far field as America, England, Scotland, France, the Netherlands. Discover age-old mysteries: jewellery, Stone Age artefacts, traditional ethnic tools, musical instruments of the Sotho and Tswana and a unique collection of Egyptian artefacts dating back to King Akhenaten (1375BC) A unique drama unfolds where Africa met Europe: Free Burghers from the Netherlands and Huguenot refugees established the first farms and formal industries, pioneers (Andrew Geddes Bain) built the first road across the Lamiet mountains, Andrew Murray revolutionised education for girls with the establishment of the Huguenot Seminary.
