Wire Daisies – Just another day

Cornwall’s answer to The Cranberries, Wire Daisies have finally released their debut album, Just Another Day, after having topped the UK & France download charts. The album contains smooth, upbeat pop/rock songs, which are performed to perfection without too many production gimmicks. The lead singer Treana Morris has a soaringly beautiful voice and grabs your attention with songs such as No More, or the singalongey title track, Just Another Day.

The only quibble one might have with the album is that it’s ‘just nice’. The band is emotive and tuck at the heart-strings with tunes like BillyBoy, but if you like your melodic music with edge this ain’t for you. It has a more grown-up sound to it, for listening pleasure on a quiet Sunday afternoon drive. And on the A-side, your parents will like it too!
